Outings into the countryside are carried out to interact with the different cultures and gain knowledge of the eco-systems, thus to consilidate what has been taught in class.
- Visits to Indian communities to discuss pre-agreed subjects.
- Talks with traditional spiritual leaders in the Indian communities.
- Exchanges with different schools of the region.
- Outings to the jungle, the river and other eco-systems.  
- Visits to important place of the region.

The school combines socio-invironmental investigation and reflection with the construction of creative strategies of expression and communication for artistic formation.

Selvalegre works with transversal projects as a learning strategy for team work. The intergrated mecanism between different areas and the creation of its own didactic material permits a new look at the pedagogical process of the educational community in general.
