“Colegio Selvalegre” started up in 1999 when a gruop of parents, teachers and children who, considering themselves priviledged to be living in an area of the great Amazon rainforest combined with a tri-nacional frontier decided to take the biologocal, ethnical and cultural biodiversity as a basis to bring to life an educational project.

• Respect for different forms of life. Rejection of racial discrimination and any form of physical or psychological violence.
• Democracy, participation, solidarity and equality
• Recognition and valorization of the cultural and invironmental diversity of the Amazon and resposibility for its conservation.
• Integral, spiritual and human formation open to all forms of knowledge and culture.
• Respect for different religions, beliefs and political convictions; the institution not being afiliated to any one in particular.
